| 正面描述 | Printed in emerald green and dark pink on a fine guilloche underprint with denomination rosettes, the obverse carries a vignette of the Temple of Hùng Kings at right, with a watermark zone reserved at left. A central signature panel separates the two halves, and the black serial number appears at the lower portion of the note, split across both sides. |

| 备注 |
Pick 1 is the founding issue of the National Bank of Vietnam, established after the 1954 Geneva Accords partitioned the country and ended French Indochinese monetary authority in the south. The Bảo Đại-era piastre had to go; this note was part of the new Vietnamese đồng series introduced to assert an independent monetary system under the Ngô Đình Diệm government.
Bradbury Wilkinson's New Malden facility handled a great deal of postcolonial currency work in this period, and the production quality is characteristically high. The single security layer — watermark only — reflects the note's low face value rather than any deficiency in the printing contract.
