备注

This note is P#213 — the 100 Cruzado — physically overprinted to circulate as 1 Cruzado Novo following the Plano Verão of January 1989, which lopped two zeros off the currency overnight. The overprint was a stopgap: Casa da Moeda couldn't produce purpose-printed Cruzado Novo notes fast enough to meet demand, so existing stock was stamped and released. Three signature combinations across the series reflect the ministerial turbulence of that period — Wadico Waldir Bucchi replaced Elmo de Araújo Camões as Banco Central president mid-run, a transition visible directly in the later B-series sheets.
