Reverse description Four crowned cruciform shields bearing the arms of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland arranged symmetrically around a central escutcheon charged with the Nassau lion rampant. The harp of Ireland appears in the left shield, representing the first harp type used on this issue. The divided regnal date is placed above the central shield within the cruciform arrangement, and a pellet-decorated crown surmounts each shield. The royal title legend in Latin surrounds the entire composition, completing the heraldic design attributed to John Roettier.
