Gibraltar issued this piece as part of its ongoing WWII commemoration series, marking the territory's role as a heavily bombed but strategically irreplaceable garrison during the Siege of Gibraltar — a sustained Axis effort, primarily through Operation Felix, Franco's ultimately rejected plan to seize the Rock in 1940.
