Issued in the weeks following Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, this piece is one of dozens of commemorative crowns released by Gibraltar in the immediate mourning period — the territory having maintained an unusually prolific commemorative program throughout her reign. "Our Lilibet" references the childhood nickname used within the Royal Family, widely publicized after Prince Harry's use of it became a point of public discussion in 2021 and 2022. The black gold plating treatment is a finishing technique Gibraltar has applied to several memorial issues, with the selective printing added to differentiate tiers within the same release program.
