| Descrizione del dritto | Central device features a large double rose — a Tudor rose composed of two superimposed roses — surmounted by an ornate royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and crosses pattée. The crowned rose is flanked on either side by the royal cypher 'h R' (Henricus Rex) in Gothic lettering. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Gothic script reads the king's name and the motto identifying the Tudor rose as a dazzling rose without a thorn, separated by pellet stops. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field displays the royal arms of England and France quarterly, borne upon a shield of pointed form surmounted by an elaborate crown. The quartered shield shows the fleurs-de-lis of France (quarters one and four) and the passant guardant lions of England (quarters two and three), executed in fine hammered relief. The shield is flanked by supporters or floral sprigs in the field. The surrounding legend in uncial Gothic script proclaims the king's titles as King of England and France and Lord of Ireland, separated by stops, all within a beaded inner circle and an outer toothed border. |
