| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of George III facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, displaying the King's characteristic curled wig and classical drapery at the truncation. The circumferential legend reads GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX, with the issuer's mark CHK also present. The coin's milled border frames the design with a uniform reeded edge visible around the rim. |
