Obverse description Within a raised linear border on a diamond-oriented square klippe flan, a crowned heraldic shield bearing the Arms of Denmark — displaying three passant lions — set upon an ornate cartouche with foliate and scrollwork mantling. The royal crown above the shield features fleurs-de-lis and arched elements rendered in high relief, characteristic of the Renaissance decorative style prevalent at the Danish court under Frederick II. The field is plain, with no surrounding legend.
