| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in high relief after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The bust is draped and truncated at the shoulder, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, with ISLE OF MAN continuing to the right, and the date 2003 positioned at the lower right. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the bust. Small decorative ornaments, including the Isle of Man triskelion emblem, punctuate the legend. |
