Additional information

The Isle of Man Treasury has issued lunar calendar crowns continuously since the 1990s, producing a separate coin for each of the twelve zodiac animals in the Chinese cycle. The 2003 Goat issue falls within this long-running series, which was produced primarily for collector markets in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia rather than domestic circulation. Pobjoy Mint struck the bulk of these Isle of Man commemoratives during this period under contract.
