| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, engraved by Arnold Machin. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, with the date 1979 positioned at the base of the field. A fine beaded border frames the entire obverse.
