Gibraltar's 1990s commemorative program churned out an extraordinary volume of Crown-sized copper-nickel pieces targeting the thematic collector market — windsurfing, sports, wildlife — with little pretense beyond that. KM#748 sits in a long run of similar issues from this period, most struck at Pobjoy Mint in Surrey under contract.
