| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central composition depicting Queen Elizabeth II in full military uniform, mounted on horseback and rendered in profile facing left, her right hand raised in a formal salute as she takes the salute during the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. The Queen wears a peaked cap and is adorned with medals and insignia on her tunic. In the background to the left, a classical Palladian building — representing Buckingham Palace or Horse Guards — is depicted with a flag at its summit, flanked by a column of marching guardsmen. The curved legend BIRTHDAY OF H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs around the upper periphery, while 1 CROWN is inscribed in the lower field beneath the horse. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns with remarkable frequency since the 1970s, producing dozens of issues annually and targeting the collector market almost exclusively — few ever circulated. The Trooping the Colour series marks the annual birthday parade held on Horse Guards Parade in London, a ceremony that has roots in the 18th-century practice of marching regimental colours through the ranks so soldiers could recognize their own standard in battle.
KM#567 is one of several Gibraltar crowns from 1997 sharing the same copper-nickel specification, distinguished only by subject matter.
