Reverse description Central field depicts a scene from Beatrix Potter's 'The Tale of Tom Kitten': the young Tom Kitten, dressed in a small jacket and standing upright on a wooden surface, faces his seated mother cat who leans forward attentively. The name TOM KITTEN is inscribed in the lower central field beneath the figures. The surrounding legend reads 100 YEARS OF PETER RABBIT arcing across the top, flanked by the dates 1893 and 1993 at the sides, with 1 CROWN appearing at the base, all separated by raised dots. A beaded border frames the design.
