| Additional information |
Issued to mark the Queen Mother's 100th birthday in August 2000, one of the most elaborately celebrated centenaries in modern British royal history. The Isle of Man has long used its fiscal autonomy to issue commemorative crown-sized pieces that the Royal Mint would never produce for circulation — a cottage industry that began in earnest under the Pobjoy Mint's contract from the 1970s onward.
KM#1031 is one of several Queen Mother centenary variants issued that year by the Isle of Man, differentiated by reverse subject.
