Reverse description A detailed naval battle scene depicting multiple sailing warships engaged in close combat, their sails billowing amid cannon smoke and turbulent seas, commemorating the Battle of Cape St. Vincent of 1797. A rectangular cartouche below the central scene bears the inscription 'THE BATTLE OF CAPE ST. VINCENT 1797', beneath which appears a facsimile of Nelson's signature above the date '1805'. The upper legend reads 'THE BICENTENARY OF TRAFALGAR' and the denomination 'ONE CROWN' appears in the lower field. Decorative rope-and-anchor motifs frame the lower portion of the design within a beaded border.
