| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem adorned with floral and foliate motifs, a pearl drop earring, and a pearl necklace. The portrait, engraved by Jody Clark, presents a mature likeness of the Queen with finely detailed hair and drapery. The Pobjoy Mint initials 'PM' appear below the truncation. The circumferential legend reads 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II' to the upper left and 'FALKLAND ISLANDS' to the upper right, with the date '2018' at the lower right, all in raised Latin characters against a smooth field. |
