| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a draped neckline with a pearl drop earring visible. The portrait, designed by Raphael David Maklouf, presents the Queen in a formal, regal style with fine detail in the hair and crown jewels. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery, with ISLE OF MAN and the date 1998 arranged along the right and lower right rim. The engraver's initials RDM appear below the truncation. A fine reeded border frames the obverse field. |

The Isle of Man has long exploited its status as a Crown Dependency to issue commemorative crowns on subjects far removed from everyday Manx concerns. This 1998 piece marks the 450th anniversary of the English Reformation under Henry VIII — a political and ecclesiastical rupture that the Isle of Man experienced at a remove, given the island's semi-autonomous ecclesiastical history under the Diocese of Sodor and Man, which predates the break with Rome by centuries.
