Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara and a small drop earring, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The portrait is engraved in a refined contemporary style. The circular legend HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II . TDC reads around the upper periphery, and the date 2012 appears in the lower exergue.

Reverse description A dramatic high-relief depiction of the RMS Titanic sailing to the right, her four funnels and rigging rendered in fine detail against a plain field. In the foreground, a crowd of spectators is shown watching the liner's departure from Southampton on 10th April 1912. The inscription R.M.S. TITANIC arcs along the upper border, with the commemorative date 10TH APRIL 1912 appearing in a straight line across the upper field. The denomination ONE CROWN is inscribed along the lower border. Small circular decorative devices punctuate the inner border at intervals.
