Tristan da Cunha, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic with a permanent population of roughly 250 people, issues commemorative crowns largely as revenue-generating exercises for its administration rather than for any domestic monetary purpose. These pieces are struck under contract by outside mints and never meaningfully circulate on the island.
