Reverse description The enthroned figure of Pluto, Roman god of the underworld, is depicted seated centrally in the field, draped from the waist down, wearing a helmet and holding a bident or sceptre aloft in his raised right hand. At his feet to the lower left crouches Cerberus, the multi-headed guardian hound of the underworld. To the right of the figure, a large detailed rendering of the dwarf planet Pluto occupies the mid-field, with the astrological symbol of Pluto visible to the upper right. The arcing legend MYTHOLOGY OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM runs along the upper periphery, the name PLUTO appears in the left field, and the denomination 1 CROWN is inscribed at the base.
