| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as modelled by Arnold Machin. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, with the date 1983 positioned in the lower exergue. A small PM mint mark for Pobjoy Mint appears just below the bust truncation. The coin is bordered by a finely reeded rim. |
