Beschrijving keerzijde Central device depicts an equestrian show jumper mounted on a horse clearing a fence, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, evoking the equestrian events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. To the left of the central composition, a stylised jade horse is shown in profile, referencing traditional Chinese art. Concentric decorative rings encircle the central design. In the lower right, a cartouche bearing Chinese characters (鼠, denoting the Year of the Rat) is prominently displayed. The legend OLYMPIC - CHINA arcs around the upper border in Latin script, while ONE CROWN appears in the lower exergue. The Pobjoy Mint mark (PM) is visible to the right of the central design.
