| Obverse description | Crowned and draped right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field. The Queen wears the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in fine detail. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, with ISLE OF MAN continuing to the right, and the date 2008 positioned at the lower right.
