| 背面描述 | The reverse is divided vertically by the shaft of a spear into two compositional halves rendered in high relief with an antique finish. On the left, a powerfully modelled frontal visage of Odin, the Norse All-Father, fills the field; he is bearded, one-eyed, and flanked by a raven at lower left — an allusion to his legendary companions Huginn and Muninn. On the right, a stylised Viking warrior figure grasps the spear shaft and is surrounded by intricate Norse knotwork interlace, a perched raven at upper right, and serpentine zoomorphic ornament below. The inscription 'ODIN' appears in the upper left field in raised Latin capitals. |

Part of Pobjoy Mint's long-running Norse mythology series for the Isle of Man, this crown was issued under the royal warrant that has made Pobjoy the dominant private mint for Manx commemoratives since the 1970s. The Isle of Man's Norse heritage runs deep — the island was under Scandinavian control from the 9th century until ceded to Scotland in 1266 — making Odin a historically defensible choice of subject rather than a purely decorative one.
