| 背面描述 | Central scene depicting the aftermath of the mutiny on HMS Bounty, with Captain William Bligh and loyal crew members set adrift in an open longboat upon turbulent seas, the ship Bounty visible in the background under full sail. An inset oval portrait of Captain Bligh in uniform is framed within a decorative cartouche in the lower portion of the design. The surrounding legend commemorates the bicentenary of the event, with the denomination and fineness inscribed in the lower field. |

The Pitcairn Islands, administered by Britain, issued commemorative coinage through Pobjoy Mint beginning in the 1980s — one of the few revenue streams available to a population that has never exceeded a few dozen residents. The Bounty mutiny of 1789 is the island's entire reason for existence: Fletcher Christian and eight fellow mutineers settled Pitcairn in 1790 with their Tahitian companions, burning the ship to prevent detection.
The bicentennial timing here is exact — 200 years after the mutiny itself.
