Reverse description The field bears a faithful reproduction of the handwritten Latin text of the Magna Carta manuscript, rendered in fine engraved script across the entire background. Overlaid in the lower right quadrant is a raised cameo-style medallion depicting King John enthroned in majesty, robed and crowned, holding a sword and a fleur-de-lis sceptre, with the legend IOHANNES REX ANGLIE DOMINVS HIBERNIE encircling the medallion; a small serial number (0071) appears within the medallion field. A single red gemstone accent is set into the left side of the coin near the border. The peripheral legend THE MAGNA CARTA · 1215 ~ 2015 runs along the upper arc, with ONE CROWN inscribed along the lower arc.
