| 正面铭文 | ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN · 1997 RDM PM |
| 背面描述 | A long-haired Smoke cat depicted in left-facing stride occupies the central field, rendered in fine detail with its distinctive coat texture. A triskeles device within a shield appears at the top of the design, serving as the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man. Birds in flight are depicted in the background field, and the cat stands upon a decorative platform in the lower left. The denomination 1 CROWN is inscribed along the lower periphery. |

The Isle of Man's cat crown series, running from 1988 onward, was one of the more commercially calculated collectible programs of the late 20th century — each year a new breed, guaranteed annual demand from thematic collectors. The Long-Haired Smoke is a relatively obscure entry in the series, neither the iconic Manx that anchors the island's feline identity nor a mainstream pedigree breed, which has kept secondary market interest modest.
Pobjoy Mint struck these for the Manx government under a long-standing production arrangement that handled most of the island's commemorative output through this period.
