| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem and drop pearl earrings, with a necklace visible at the truncation. The portrait, rendered in fine relief against a mirror field, is consistent with the fourth definitive effigy used on Commonwealth coinage. The circular legend reads 'H.M.
