Aanvullende informatie

Issued to mark the centenary of Edward VII's visit to Gibraltar in 1893, when the Prince of Wales stopped at the Rock during a Mediterranean voyage aboard the royal yacht. The occasion was largely ceremonial, but it coincided with a period of significant garrison expansion and British naval investment in the colony's harbor infrastructure.

Gibraltar's commemorative crown program of the early 1990s was prolific, and KM#139 is one of dozens of issues from that era with limited secondary market depth.
