| Additional information |
Tristan da Cunha has no meaningful connection to the Pacific Theater — the island sits in the South Atlantic, roughly equidistant between South America and southern Africa. These commemorative crown issues, produced under license through Pobjoy Mint, are targeted squarely at the collector market rather than general circulation on an island with a population under 300. The Iwo Jima subject was one of several WWII anniversary releases in this format issued around 2015–2016.
