| 正面描述 | Fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The truncated draped bust is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN, with the date 2005 positioned at the lower right and the engraver's initials IRB below the bust truncation. A fine toothed border frames the design. |

The Isle of Man's annual cat crown series, running continuously since 1988, became one of the more commercially successful bullion-adjacent programs of the late 20th century — largely because collector demand, not monetary policy, drove every decision about which breed appeared each year. The Himalayan was featured in 2005, a breed that only achieved formal recognition from major cat registries in the latter half of the 20th century due to ongoing disputes about whether it constituted a distinct breed or a colorpoint variant of the Persian.
KM#1266a designates the silver variant; a copper-nickel circulation strike was issued concurrently under a separate reference.
