| 背面描述 | Full-length figure of a female gymnast depicted in dynamic mid-routine pose, balancing on one hand with her body arched and legs fully extended in opposite directions, conveying athletic grace and tension. The 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics official emblem — the stylised star-burst motif with Olympic rings — appears to the right of the figure in the field. The circumferential legend TWENTY THIRD OLYMPIAD·LOS ANGELES· arcs along the upper border, while ·ONE CROWN· is inscribed along the lower border, all separated by raised dot stops. A decorative rope-pattern inner border frames the design. |

Issued to mark the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, this is the silver variant of a crown series the Isle of Man Treasury produced prolifically throughout the 1980s — the island having negotiated its own commemorative coinage rights independent of the Royal Mint. The Isle of Man was notably aggressive in exploiting that autonomy, flooding the collector market with themed crowns across nearly every major international sporting event of the decade.
The base-metal version (KM#119) far outsold the silver, which was struck in limited numbers for the proof and collector trade.
