Reverse description A female gymnast is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, balanced on one hand in a dynamic pose with legs fully extended and split, capturing the athleticism of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. To the right of the figure, a small circular emblem bearing the Olympic rings device is present in the field. The circumferential legend TWENTY THIRD OLYMPIAD · LOS ANGELES arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while · ONE CROWN · curves along the lower arc, all within a rope-pattern inner border and a beaded outer border. A small shield device appears at the top of the inner border. The overall design is attributed to engraver Leslie Durbin and is executed to proof standard.
