Tristan da Cunha has no indigenous economy to speak of — the island's coinage exists entirely for the collector market, issued under British administration and bearing denominations that never meaningfully circulate. This piece is part of a "Greatest Britons" series produced for that purpose, with Shakespeare selected as the anchor subject almost certainly due to the 400th anniversary of his death falling in 2016.
