| Additional information |
Gibraltar's "Great Britain at War" crown series, issued across multiple years from the mid-2000s onward, was produced by the Pobjoy Mint under license and draws heavily on the territory's own wartime experience — the Rock served as a critical naval and air staging point throughout the Second World War, its civilian population evacuated to Britain, Jamaica, and Madeira between 1940 and 1944. Full repatriation wasn't completed until 1951.
