| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a dramatic scene commemorating Operation Dynamo and the Dunkirk evacuation of May–June 1940. In the right foreground, a male figure rendered in high relief is shown raising binoculars to his eyes, evoking a naval observer or civilian volunteer. To the left and centre, a naval or merchant vessel is depicted underway amid churning seas, with a military aircraft visible in the upper left field above clouds of smoke. The curved legend 'A MIRACLE OF DELIVERANCE' arcs across the upper field, with the date '1940' positioned at the upper right. |

Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns prolifically since the 1970s, and the 80th anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation generated several releases in this series. Operation Dynamo, the codename for the May–June 1940 evacuation, lifted roughly 338,000 Allied troops from the beaches using a mix of Royal Navy vessels and the famous fleet of civilian "little ships" requisitioned from private owners across southern England. Whether any Gibraltar-registered vessel participated is not documented — the operation drew primarily from English south-coast ports.
