正面描述 Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field to the left, GIBRALTAR continues along the right, and the date 2001 appears at the lower right. The engraver's initials IRB are present below the truncation. A fine beaded border runs along the inner rim.

附加信息

Queen Victoria died on 22 January 1901 at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, ending a reign of 63 years and seven months — the longest of any British monarch to that point. Gibraltar, as a Crown Colony, had circulated currency bearing her effigy throughout much of that reign, making the centenary a locally relevant occasion rather than a purely ceremonial one.

KM#916a is the silver variant of a base-metal issue, struck in .925 sterling to the standard 28.28g crown specification that dominated Commonwealth commemorative production throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
