| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara, as engraved by Arnold Machin. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and drapery. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left field and ELIZABETH II along the right, both in raised Latin capitals. The date 1984 appears in the lower exergue beneath the portrait. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design. |
