Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, modelled by Arnold Machin. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with fine detail in the hair and drapery. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, both in raised Latin capitals. The date 1984 appears in the lower exergue, with the Pobjoy Mint privy mark (PM) visible to the lower left of the truncation. A fine toothed border encircles the entire obverse.
