Gibraltar's commemorative crown program has long used the format to mark British military engagements with minimal editorial restraint. The Battle of Cambrai in November 1917 was the first major offensive in history to deploy tanks en masse — 476 Mark IV machines rolled forward on November 20th, achieving a breakthrough that briefly rang church bells in London before a German counterattack erased nearly all the territorial gains within days.
