Aanvullende informatie

The Isle of Man Government, through Pobjoy Mint, produced an extensive series of Christmas-themed crowns throughout the 1980s and 1990s — annual issues that became something of a collector tradition. This 1997 piece marking the Birth of Christ falls within that run, which began in 1980 and continued uninterrupted for two decades. The series was among the first regularly issued Christmas coinage from any modern jurisdiction.

Pobjoy struck these in both copper-nickel and precious metal versions simultaneously, with the bullion variants carrying the same KM sequence in separate catalog entries.
