Additional information

Gibraltar's Olympic commemorative program in the 1990s was prolific to the point of exhaustion — the territory issued dozens of crown-sized pieces for Atlanta 1996 alone, parceling the games into individual athletic themes to maximize the series. This is one of that run, produced for collector sales rather than circulation, with distribution handled primarily through the Gibraltar government's philatelic and numismatic bureau.
