| Beschrijving keerzijde | A seated Aboriginal male figure, shown in profile facing left and rendered in a naturalistic style, crouches in the lower centre of the field holding an Olympic torch aloft in his right hand. A dingo stands prominently to his right. In the upper background, three athletes are depicted in motion, evoking track and field competition. The denomination 2000 appears at the lower left within the design, and the legend SUMMER OLYMPICS · SYDNEY arcs across the upper field, with 1 CROWN inscribed along the lower exergue. A beaded border frames the composition. |

Gibraltar's late-1990s crown program was prolific almost to the point of parody — the Government issued dozens of commemorative types annually throughout this period, targeting the collector market rather than circulation. This piece, featuring an Aboriginal subject with no particular connection to Gibraltar, is characteristic of that strategy: themed coins sold directly to collectors, with mintage figures kept deliberately vague in most references.
KM#793 is one of several dozen Gibraltar crowns cataloged from 1999 alone.
