Aanvullende informatie

Tristan da Cunha issues coins primarily for the collector market — the island's roughly 250 permanent residents have little practical use for commemorative crowns. The 4th portrait of Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, was adopted across British territories from 1998 onward after a phased rollout that began with UK circulation coinage. The colored variant of KM#34a was produced as a premium collector piece, almost certainly never reaching the South Atlantic.
