Reverse description Central depiction of a steel-helmeted World War I American infantryman advancing through a shattered woodland, rendered in high relief against a dark field evoking the Battle of Belleau Wood. A gilt WWI centenary eagle emblem is applied to the right of the soldier's figure. Flanking the central motif are laurel branches, and inscribed vertically on the left is 1st JUNE 1918 and on the right 26th JUNE 1918, denoting the duration of the battle. The legend BELLEAU WOOD arcs across the upper field, with ONE CROWN appearing along the lower border above a dentilated rim.
