The upper legend 'BATTLE OF AMIENS' arcs across the top of the field, flanked by the dates '8th AUGUST 1918' on the left and '12th AUGUST 1918' on the right within the wreath surround. A small gilt medallion bearing the inscription 'WWI' and an eagle motif appears at the lower center of the central design.
