| Reverse description | The reverse features the celebrated Pistrucci-style design of Saint George, armoured and helmeted, mounted on a rearing horse facing left, thrusting a broken lance downward toward a writhing dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The saint's cloak billows dramatically behind him as he raises his sword arm. The date 1936 appears in the exergue within a decorative scrollwork frame at the base of the design. The composition fills the field entirely, with a finely toothed border at the rim. |
