Juno Beach was the Canadian sector on June 6, 1944 — the only beach that day assigned to a non-British, non-American force as its primary assault. The 3rd Canadian Infantry Division suffered roughly 1,000 casualties but pushed further inland than any other Allied force by day's end. Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns in this format regularly for decades, farming the anniversary and battle-site subjects with predictable frequency.
