| Obverse description | Left-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III dominates the obverse field, rendered in the portrait style by engraver Raphael David Maklouf. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, bearing the royal titles in Latin along with the issuing territory and date. The denomination ONE CROWN appears below the king's truncation. The overall composition follows standard Commonwealth commemorative design conventions. |

Juno Beach was the Canadian sector on June 6, 1944 — the only beach that day assigned to a non-British, non-American force as its primary assault. The 3rd Canadian Infantry Division suffered roughly 1,000 casualties but pushed further inland than any other Allied force by day's end. Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns in this format regularly for decades, farming the anniversary and battle-site subjects with predictable frequency.
